How to Participate in Cycle for Survival Events
Cycle for Survival is the official rare cancer fundraising program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and supports rare cancer research at MSK with every dollar raised. Learn about the different types of events we offer and how you can participate.

January–March 2025
What to expect at our signature four-hour team stationary-cycling events
An exciting and impactful way to support rare cancer research at MSK, with no cycling experience or training needed to participate. Pedal hard or hardly pedal!
Our founding partner, Equinox, transforms entire clubs across the country for these annual events, filling them with 100-plus stationary bikes just for our community. Each four-hour event is broken into one-hour segments that start with a powerful speech from someone in our community, followed by 50 minutes of Equinox instructor-led cycling.
Register for a ride
Choose where and when to ride, then book your bike(s). Join as a team and take turns riding with four to eight people per bike. If you prefer to ride all four hours solo, go Extreme!

Raise money for rare cancer research at MSK
Raise $1,000 or more per bike as a team or $4,000 on your own if you go Extreme. You’ll get an online fundraising page and other resources to help, and you can earn Cycle for Survival gear by raising funds.

Unite as a community on event day
Ride, dance, cheer, and celebrate all that you make possible together. Visit the photo booth, share a message on the tribute wall, enjoy snacks and drinks from our sponsors, and more!

Start a team
Become a team captain! Lead your team’s fundraising efforts, motivate others to join you, organize your ride-day schedule, and communicate with your team’s assigned Cycle for Survival staff member.
Join a team
If you’re joining a team someone else has already created, you’ll need the team’s name and password to register. Reach out to the team captain or another team member to get this information.
Go Extreme
Looking for a solo challenge? Go Extreme and ride all four hours of the event on your own. Extreme riders have a minimum fundraising requirement of $4,000.

Join the movement to beat rare cancers no matter where you are
Thanks to Equinox+, the official on-demand fitness and lifestyle app from our founding partner, Equinox, you can take part in Cycle for Survival virtually.
By registering for the virtual event, you’ll get complimentary access to Equinox+. You do not need to be an Equinox member to participate. The virtual event includes a four-hour cycling livestream led by SoulCycle instructors, on-demand fitness classes with Equinox instructors, and more virtual activations on cycleforsurvival.org.
Register to ride
Sign up as an individual, or invite a teammate to join you and split the 100-minute ride time and $1,000 fundraising minimum. Choose which instructor’s team you’d like to join when you register.

There’s a $1,000 fundraising requirement for each bike. You’ll get an online fundraising page and other resources to help you raise even more, and you can earn your way to a front-row bike by being a top fundraiser!
