As the official rare cancer fundraiser of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), Cycle for Survival unites people around the world to make a difference. Learn more about our community, our fundraising events, and the impact you can make by joining us.

Cycle for Survival began in a single New York City cycling studio. Today, we are a movement with global impact, and it’s all thanks to our extraordinary community.

For nearly two decades, Cycle for Survival funding has helped transform bold ideas into lifesaving innovations, from new FDA-approved drugs to advances in diagnostic technologies.

100% of every dollar fuels rare cancer research

Rare cancer research is underfunded. Cycle for Survival helps close this gap by supporting the work of MSK doctors and scientists with every dollar raised.

We ride together so no one faces rare cancer alone

MSK is home to experts in more than 400 types of cancer, including many so rare that some hospitals have never treated people with these diseases. 100% of Cycle for Survival funding allows MSK to continue making scientific discoveries and therapeutic breakthroughs that are transforming rare cancer treatment worldwide.

Our founders

The spark behind the movement to beat rare cancers

Cycle for Survival was started by Jennifer Goodman Linn — an MSK patient with sarcoma and an Equinox member — and her husband at the time, Dave Linn.
In 2007, Jen and Dave brought 230 of their friends, family members, and colleagues together for a fundraiser in the cycling studio at Equinox Columbus Circle in New York City. Because of their vision and dedication, the event grew into what is now Cycle for Survival.
